1. What this site is — and isn’t

  • Red Leaf Wallet publishes educational comparisons and guides about financial products relevant to international students in Canada.
  • We are not a bank, lender, broker, immigration consultant for your application, or licensed financial advisor. Nothing on this site is personal financial, legal, tax, or immigration advice.
  • Content is general information. Your situation is unique — before making financial decisions, verify details with the product issuer and, where appropriate, a qualified professional.

2. Accuracy of information

We research every figure against primary sources and stamp audit dates on our pages (see our Editorial Policy). However, banks and IRCC change fees, rates, eligibility rules, and program terms without notice. We cannot guarantee that every detail is current at the moment you read it. The issuer’s official website and documents always take precedence over ours.

3. Your responsibility

Any decision you make — opening an account, wiring GIC funds, applying for a credit card — is your own, made between you and the financial institution. Red Leaf Wallet is not a party to those transactions and accepts no liability for their outcomes, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
